The (quasi)energy spectra of quantum systems can be constructed from classical dynamics by means of the semiclassical initial value representation using coherent states. In order to apply this methods to higher dimensional systems, semiclassical autocorrelation functions (or crosscorrelation functions for shorter time intervalls) have to be calculated very efficiently. We discuss the arising problems for some quantum systems, eg. rapid oszillations of the integrand and stiff differential equations when propagating classical trajectories. We show how the integration over the (whole) phase space can be handled very efficiently by an algorithm, which chooses system adapted grid points and examine the influence of smoothing the rapidly oszillating integrand.
