After the assembly and the RF-conditioning of the 4-Rod-RFQ for REX-ISOLDE [1,2,3], a test beamline has been built up to perform first He+-experiments with the RFQ and the following Buncher-section. The injection system of the RFQ consists basically of a duoplasmatron ion-source and electrostatic quadrupole lenses. It also includes the prototype of a diagnostic-box, which was designed for the very low beam intensities at REX-ISOLDE and is firstly tested at Munich. For the matching of the beam to the acceptance of the RFQ, calculations with the COSY infinity code have been performed as well as emittance measurements behind the injection system. The poster presents the results of the RF-conditioning, the COSY calculations, the emittance measurements and the first beam experiments with the REX-RFQ.
