YBCO-junctions and theit leakage current, jc RR−1 and other tunnel anomalies — •Juergen Halbritter — Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe, IMF1, Postfach 3640, 76021 Karlsruhe

Whereas in Nb2O5 -junctions large leakage currents, large noise and jc R2=const. occur for bad junctions only, those properties are common to HTS in-plane junctions. The present day understanding of HTS-tunneling with respect to barrier properties is analyzed. An explanation for the often overlooked leakage current and noise and jc R2 = const. are given and new atomistic barrier information are presented.
