Unitary chiral SU(3) dynamics for kaons — •Evgeni Kolomeitsev and Matthias Lutz — Gesellschaft für Schwerionenforschung, 64291 Darmstadt

We develop a unitary and covariant framwork for the description of kaon nucleon interaction in accordance with constrains from chiral symmetry. The non-trivial chiral SU(3) dynamics of inelastic thresholds leads to the generation of new resonance structures. Our scheme includes s- and p-partial waves. It describes differential cross section of elastic and inelastic kaon-nucleon scattering accurately for kaon momenta up to 350 MeV.
