Cluster treatment of the electrical conductivity of disordered and short-range ordered alloys — •Lucian D. The electrical conductivity of finite, three-dimensional clusters

is calculated using a combination of density functional theory,

multiple scattering theory and the Kubo-Greenwood equation.

Isolated clusters and clusters embedded in a coherent potential

(CPA medium) are considered. Densities of states and electrical

resistivities are calculated for disordered and short-range

ordered alloy systems. Different cluster sizes and two cluster

types, namely spherical and rectangular clusters, are considered.
