One important process governing the charge balance in plasmas is dielectronic recombination (DR). To date, plasma modeling relies heavily on theoretical DR rates which bear large uncertainties. Different theories yield rate coefficients which differ from one another by up to orders of magnitude. Here we present benchmarking measurements of plasma DR rate coefficients for astrophysically important C3+ [1], Feq+ (17 ≤ q ≤ 21) [2] and Ni25+ [3] ions. The rate coefficients are presented in an easy-to-use parameterization directly applicable to plasma modeling codes.
