The study of multicharged ion-atom electron capture is a longstanding domain of interest largely due to its importance in astrophysics and plasma studies. In the very low-velocity regime, an exact quantum-mechanical theoretical description of the dynamics of both the electrons and the nuclei is required. Recently, we have analysed the efficiency of a particular time dependent wave packet method for two collisional systems C4+/H and Si4+/He. We implement in this work two alternative wave packet methods: a time independent method and a time dependent method based on the computation of the flux operator matrix elements by using properties of absorbing potentials.
