Excitation, Ionization and Fragmentation of H2+ in intense laser fields — •Mathias Uhlmann, Thomas Kunert, and Rüdiger Schmidt — Institut fTheoretische Physik, Technische Universität Dresden, 01062 Dresden

Mixed classical-quantum mechanical calculations for H2+ in an intense laser field have been carried out. For the nuclei a classical description was used. The electron is described by a finite basis consisting of STO-3G located at the cores and of Gaussian functions laid out along the laser polarization axis. The results are compared to the exact, numerical solution calculated by Chelkowski et al.*
