Helicon Waves and Magnetic Fluctuations in the Torsatron TJ-K — •Nils Krause, Carsten Lechte, Sven Niedner, and Ulrich Stroth — Institut für Experimentelle und Angewandte Physik der Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Leibnitzstraße 19, 24098 Kiel

The low temperature plasma in the Torsatron TJ-K is generated by a type Nagoya III heliconantenna. The mode of coupling can be capacitive, inductive or heliconmode. There are magnetic measurements, which are realized with Ḃ-probes and Mirnovprobes shown on the contribution. The different probes are used to measure turbulence spectra in the range of 2-200 kHz and the wave field up to a limit of 200 MHz. Harmonics of the carrier frequency occur in the high frequency range and lead to the assumption of nonlinearity. The measured poloidal field distributions, the deposition of RF-power and densityprofiles will be shown for different types of coupling. At a transition between these types there is a discontinuity in powerdeposition, which can be seen in a linear power scan. To measure the deposition a modulation with low frequency of the poweramplitude is necessary to determine the plasma parameters with Langmuir diagnostics.
