ππ-Scattering up to 1.6 GeV — •Felix Sassen, S. Krewald, and J. Speth — Forschungszentrum Jülich, IKP (Th), D-52425 Jülich

Within the framework of the Jülich model for ππ-interactions we eliminated the need for empirical formfactors at the ππρ-, KKρ-, KKω- and KKφ-vertices in the t-channel by using a dispersionrelation to continue the microscopically calculated formfactors of the ππρ- and KKρ-vertices from the s-channel to the t-channel. Since the “s-channel”-formfactors themselves depend on the “t-channel”-formfactors we iterated this procedure to achieve selfconsistency. Furthermore we used another dispersionrelation to continue the selfenergy of the ρ propagating in the s-channel to the t-channel.

Within this refined model we calculated the T-matrix in partialwave decomposition and compared it to ππ-phaseshifts,-inelasticities and -crosssections. Sofar the results agree well with the data and there is no need to introduce a genuine f0(980). In our model the corresponding resonance is generated by the coupling of the ππ-channel to the KK-channel and the onset of the f0(1370) resonance.
