We have setup a high resolution Bragg spectrometer to observe the soft X-ray radiation of slow (E = 90 keV) neon projectiles when interacting with matter. Two dimensional curved crystal technique with high luminosity allowed to receive spectra in a reasonable exposure time. When focussing hydrogen like neon ions onto a massive metal plate the He-like resonance and intercombination lines were observed. At longer wavelengths, group formation of soft X-ray emission is visible. Atomic data calculations show, that these transitions steem from inner-shell transitions of hollow ions of various charge states. Resolved satellite transitions near the He-like resonance line, however, suggest that transitions with higher order spectator electrons play an important role: Their intensity is comparable with the resonance line emission and, therefore, influences on the analysis of the average projectile charge state.
