Response of a Nonlinear Magnetic Medium to an Intense Electromagnetic pulse — •Farshad Sohbatzadeh — Iran,13365,Tehran,Beheshti Un.,Laser Research Center

Reflection of an intense electromagnetic wave pulse was considered from a class of strongly nonlinear magnetic medium. It was shown that almost all the incident energy of the electromagnetic pulse can be reflected and the polarization of the reflected wave will be reversed like magneto-optical keer effect. Also constitutive equations for that media were obtained by analytical solution of Maxwell equations. Such media can be used as a power limiters protecting for damages of strong laser pulses.
