Quantum dot systems represent a fascinating model system for many physical phenomena. The advantage of these systems is the possibility to tune the parameters within a wide range. Recent experiments show that quantum dots can even serve as a model system for experimental studies of the Kondo effect [1]. These experiments stimulated theoretical interests on non-equilibrium effects e.g. the interplay of the two energy scales given by the Kondo temperature and bias voltage. We apply the real time renormalization group method [2] to this problem to find predictions in a systematic way.
