The magnetic properties of the PrMn2−xFexGe2 compounds with ThCr2Si2-type structure have been reinvestigated by neutron diffraction[1]. A typical SmMn2Ge2-like behaviour is observed for PrMn1.4Fe0.6Ge2. The magnetic structures of PrMn1.6Fe0.4Ge2, PrMn1.4Fe0.6Ge2, PrMn1.2Fe0.8Ge2 and PrMn1.0Fe1.0Ge2 have been determined between 2 and 300 K, and the x-T magnetic phase diagram of this system is proposed. It has been shown that the substitution of Mn by Fe drastically reduces the interlayer ferromagnetic range. These results are compared with NdMn2−xFexGe2[2] and LaMn2−xFexSi2[3] in respect to the effect of Fe substitution on the interplane magnetic couplings. The F-AF transition at a critical Mn-Mn interatomic distance RMnMna within the (001) Mn layers(intralayer) is larger than the value (2.865 Å) for pure Mn compounds (e.g. SmMn2Ge2). [1] S. Kervan, Y.
