Emission Characteristics of Laser Ablated Plasma Pulses from Complex Targets — •Shailendra Nath Srivastava and Klaus Rohr — Fachbereich Physik, Universität Kaiserslautern

Till now, systematic and differential experiments of laser ablated particle pulses exist only for mono-atomic target systems. In the present work, for the first time, differential investigations of emission distributions with respect to particle numbers, charges and energies has been done for binary systems. This involves a sophisticated experimental technique. The distributions of a WCu compound of different stoichiometry have been compared with their mono-atomic components W and Cu. The results found, show a systematic behavior, which might be of practical interest and give useful datasets for theoretical simulations.
