Laser -plasma produced relativistic electrons — •Stuart Mangles — Blackett Lab, Imperial College, London, UK

Measurements of relativistic electrons produced by the interaction of an intense laser pulse with underdense plasma are presented. The electron energy spectrum is measured using an electromagnet to disperse the electrons onto an array of diodes, a FUJI image plate is cross calibrated with the diodes and used to obtain a higher resolution energy spectrum . PIC code simulations are used to aid interpretation of the data obtained.
