Chemical gradients of SC16 alloy after hydrostatic deformation — •Stefan Höring1,2, Wolfgang Neumann1, Nelia Wanderka2, and Gerhard Schumacher21Humbold Universität zu Berlin, Institut für Physik, AG Kristallographie, Invalidenstraße 110, 10115 Berlin — 2Hahn-Meitner-Institut Berlin, Glienicker Straße 100, 14109 Berlin

The local chemical composition in the nickel based single crystal superalloy SC16 were examined by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and three-dimensional atom probe tomography (3DAP) after standard heat treatment and after hydrostatic deformation with the pressure of 5 kbar and 11 kbar at 1223 K. This deformation has initialised a building of new small γ’-precipitates (size about 7 nm) which were observed by atom probe in the γ-matrix indicating a non-equilibrium state of the alloy. The chemical concentration in the different phases and near the γ’/γ-interface were measured and compared by two different methods such as energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) at the TEM and with 3d-reconstruction of the 3DAP data. The measurements were carried out along the <001>- direction.
