The photochemistry in the coadsorption systems Cs/NO and Cs/D2O on Si(100)-(2x1):(H) — •Rebecca Reibke und Eckart Hasselbrink — Universität Essen, Universitätsstr. 5, 45117 Essen

The interaction of NO and D2O with a Si(100)-(2x1):(H) surface have been studied using electron-energy-loss spectroscopy, temperature-programmed-desorption and time-of-flight spectroscopy.

The main effect of alkali-coadsorbates is the charge transfer to the substrate and by this the reduction in the macroscopic work function. The central point under debate is whether alkali coadsorption leads to an enhanced photochemical reactivity of NO and D2O in these systems.
