Dephasing in tunneling through parallel quantum dots — •Florian Marquardt und Christoph Bruder — Departement Physik und Astronomie, Universität Basel

We consider dephasing in a model of a mesoscopic double-slit setup consisting of two parallel quantum dots that are coupled to lead electrodes and a fluctuating environment. The case of weak tunnel coupling (but arbitrary system-bath coupling strength) is treated. We quantify the visibility of the interference pattern that is determined by the dependence of the current on the phase difference between the tunneling paths. The relation between entanglement and dephasing will be discussed.
