We have experimentally investigated Fiske steps and critical current dependence versus external magnetic field for ultra-narrow long Josephson junctions made by Al/AlOx/Al and Nb/Al-AlOx/Al technology with junction width W ranging from 0.2 µm to 3 µm. Al/AlOx/Al junctions were prepared using shadow evaportion technique. Nb/Al-AlOx/Nb junction were prepared using the standard trilayer process. We have observed that the distance between Fiske steps increases and the first critical field decreases with decreasing W. The magnetic field period of the critical current modulation of Al/AlOx/Al junctions shows unusual dependence on temperature. The theoretical description of these properties requires the use of nonlocal electrodynamics model.
