From reversibility to irreversibility and back again: asymptotic manipulation of entanglement — •Jens Eisert1,2, Koenraad Audenaert3 und Martin B. This talk will be concerned with the issue of reversibility of entanglement manipulation in bi-partite quantum systems. The first part of the talk will deal with known results on the asymptotic manipulation of pure states under local quantum operations and classical communication (LOCC), which can be shown to be possible in a reversible manner. This reversibility is lost in case of transformations of mixed states under LOCC. The main part of the talk will present new results that suggest that by slightly enlarging the set of allowed quantum operations, reversibility of entanglement manipulation may be regained again.
