The ground X1Σ+ and a3Σ+ electronic states in NaRb were studied using high resolution fourier transform spectroscopy. Transitions in the triplet manifold were observed with partially resolved hyperfine structure by exciting the strongly mixed B1Π − b3Π −c3Σ+ system. The analysis of the long range potential energy curves related to the atomic 3S+5S asymptote provides important information for description of the interaction between a Na and a Rb atom in their ground states at cold temperatures. The present status of the investigation will be reported.
