Direct mass measurements have been performed on the isotopes 76,77Sr and 129,130,131,132Sn by means of the Penning trap mass spectrometer ISOLTRAP at ISOLDE/CERN. In the case of 76Sr the mass was measured for the first time with an accuracy of about 30 keV. This nuclide is of particular interest since it is considered to be a candidate for a waiting point nucleus in the astrophysical rp-process. Furthermore, the Sr data support recent mirror decay studies in this region of highly deformed N≈Z nuclei. In the case of the tin isotopes masses were known since long from Qβ measurements. Around doubly magic 132Sn inconsistencies were found between experimental data and shell model based predictions. For 130,132Sn the ISOLTRAP results show a significant deviation from the values obtained in the 1995 mass adjustment. Both the strontium and the tin data provide a basis for an improved local adjustment of microscopic-macroscopic mass models.
