The Δ → Nγ transition in the perturbative chiral quark model — •Kem Pumsa-ard, Valery Lyubovitskij, Thomas Gutsche, and Amand Faessler — Institut für Theoretische Physik, Universität Tübingen, Auf der Morgenstelle 14, D-72076 Tübingen, Germany

We apply the perturbative chiral quark model (PCQM) at one loop to study the helicity amplitudes A1/2 and A3/2, and also the decay width Γ(Δ+pγ) for the process of Δ → Nγ transition. The PCQM is based on an effective chiral Lagrangian which fulfils chiral symmetry constraints and low-energy theorems by taking into account the cloud of the Goldstone bosons (π,K,η) surrounding the valence quarks. Our results are in good agreement with experimental data.
