Two complementary methods for mass-measurements of large areas on the mass-surface were developed at GSI. With time-resolved Schottky Mass Spectrometry (SMS) all nuclei with half-lives longer than a few seconds can be accessed whereas the lower half-life limit for the Isochronous Mass Spectrometry (IMS) is of the order of a few ten microseconds. Mass-resolving powers of 7·105 and 1·105 are achieved for SMS and IMS, respectively, which allow high-precision mass determination and the resolution of low-lying isomeric states. With these two methods masses of more than 300 exotic nuclides could be determined for the first time. Based on these measurements new physical conclusions for the one-proton drip-line (Re to Pa) and the validity of modern mass models will be presented.
