High-resolution Schottky spectroscopy is used for experiments with exotic nuclei, which are produced in the fragment separator FRS and electron-cooled in the experimental storage ring ESR. Time-resolved frequency spectra of highly charged ions circulating in the ring provide information about their mass and halflife. Ultimate sensibility down to single ions is achieved. This method was applied to Bi projectile fragments yielding new mass values for 251 exotic nuclides with a typical accuracy of 35 keV. Recently neutron-rich U projectile fragments in the so far unexplored region between Pb and U were investigated.
