The No-dqDLS-puzzleNo-dq, known for the heavy-ion collisions at intermediate energies can be partially traced back to the elementary level of pp⊢→ e+eX cross-sections. The elementary reactions were described within a resonance model NN⊢→ NR⊢→ e+eX [1, 2]. Radially excited ρ and ω mesons were implemented into the transition form-factors to ensure the correct asymptotic behaviour according to the quark counting rules. This provides a unified description of radiative R⊢→ Nγ and mesonic R⊢→ Nρ (ω) decays. However, the interaction of the vector mesons with surrounding particles of a hot and dense nuclear medium should result in the break up of the destructive interference between the amplitudes, corresponding to the dilepton production through the different vector mesons. This, in turn, yields an increase of the total dilepton cross-section below the ground state ρ mass in heavy ion reactions.
