Angular momentum structure of the nucleon in the Chiral Quark Soliton Model — •Jens Ossmann1, Klaus Goeke1, Maxim Polyakov2, Peter Schweitzer1, and Diana Urbano31Institut fü r Theoretische Physik, Ruhr-Universitä t, D-44780 Bochum, Germany — 2Institut de Physique, B5a, Universite de Liege au Sart Tilman, B4000 Liege 1, Belgium — 3Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, 4000 Porto, Portugal

In the description of many hard exclusive processes, like deeply virtual Compton scattering or hard exclusive meson production, enters the generalized parton distribution E(x,ξ,t). This function is a priori unknown.

And unlike to H(x,ξ,t) where at least the forward limit H(x,0,0)=q(x) is known from inclusive measurements, the shape of E(x,ξ,t) could not be determined up to now. Especially the second moment of this function is of great interest since it is connected via Ji’s sum rule to the angular momentum of quarks.

We discuss X. Ji’s sum rule and the form factor J(t) of the energy-momentum tensor that gives us information about the spacial distribution of the quark angular momentum inside the nucleon. Both objects are investigated in the framework of the Chiral Quark Soliton Model.

This model has successfully been used to describe many nucleonic properties, like parton distributions and form factors.
