Non-equilibrium and Asymmetry Effects in Intermediate Energy Heavy Ion Collisions* — •Th. Gaitanos1,2, Chr. Fuchs3, R.-A. Ionescu4, and H.H. Wolter11Sektion Physik, Univ. of Munich — 2LNS, INFN, Catania — 3Inst. Theor. Physik, Univ. Tübingen — 4NIPNE, Bucharest

An important motivation for the investigation of intermediate energy heavy ion collisions is to determine the equation-of-state of nuclear matter, and, in view of the interest in isospin phenomena, in particular of asymmetric nuclear matter. However, non-equilibrium effects are important in such collisions, as evidenced by non-spherical momentum distributions during an essential part of the collision. We have previously discussed these effects in terms of 2-Fermi-sphere (colliding nuclear matter, CNM) configurations. We have extended this model to asymmetric CNM (ACNM) configurations to take into account asymmetry effects. In parallel we also investigate explicit momentum dependence in a 1-Fermi-sphere configuration and compare the two methods of treating momentum dependence. We investigate in particular double differential flow effects as a function of rapidity and transverse momentum and compare to recent data of the FOPI collaboration.
