Br., Germany

Multisymplectic field theory provides the framework to geometrically and covariantly describe (first order) classical field theories. It extends symplectic geometry from the well-known interplay of Hamiltonian functions and vector fields to include in addition certain forms, the Poisson forms, and Hamiltonian multivector fields. In this talk, a general classification of Poisson forms will be presented and explicit local coordinate expressions for the Poisson bracket between two such forms will be given.
