Recent studies of doubly excited helium below the ionization threshold I9 of He+ showed a transition to quantum chaos by analyzing the nearest neighbor spacing (NNS) distribution [1]. This analysis showed a breakdown of the radial quantum number N, but not for the angular correction quantum number K. Now we present new measurements in the energy region up to the ionization threshold I15 of He+, which show excellent agreement with new complex-rotation calculations. Based on these results a statistical analysis of the NNS distribution is performed. Preliminary analysis of these data also showed that at least up to the ionization threshold I13 the quantum number K is not completely broken down.
