The RATIP program. Recent developments and extensions — •S. Fritzsche1, G. Gaigalas2, and B. Fricke11Institut für Physik, Universität Kassel, D–34132, Germany — 2Vilnius University Research Institute of Theoretical Physics and Astronomy, Vilnius, Lithuania

During the past years, the Ratip program [1] has been found useful for calculating a variety of atomic data including level structures, transition probabilities, Auger parameters as well as a number of excitation, ionization and capture cross sections. Here, the recent extensions to the Ratip program are reviewed which helped analyze and explain various experiments from atomic spectroscopy. Making use of this code, it is demonstrated that accurate predictions are possible today even for open–shell atoms and ions, if the effects of relativity and many–particle correlations are treated consistently on the same theoretical basis.
