Injection of pellets produced from frozen hydrogen isotopes is currently one of the most elaborated fueling methods in modern tokamaks. The problem with conventional injections, i.e. ones from the outer side of the torus, is that a fast radial drift causes an outward motion of the ablated material leading to strong particle and energy losses. In the case of magnetic high field side (HFS) injection it has been demonstrated that a rapid inward drift acts favorably, avoiding strong losses and improving the fueling efficiency. This poster concerns the evaluation of the experimental results of HFS pellet injections at the international tokamak ASDEX Upgrade. A database is developed containing the decisive experimental parameters of the pellet-plasma interaction. Based upon this database a statistical analysis is being presented, establishing the most important scaling laws of pellet ablation.
