A Simple R-Parity Violating Model For Neutrino Masses — •Jong Soo Kim — Nussallee 12 53115 Bonn

In the framework of broken R-Parity, the hierarchical ordering of the neutrino masses and large mixing angles can be explained. The most significant contributions to the neutrino mass matrix are a tree level contribution, a quark-squark loop and a lepton-slepton loop.
In broken R-Parity, lepton and baryon number violating interactions can be mediated through spin zero particles, giving rise to new contributions to processes in the Standard Model. The scalar particles may alter the charged current universality in lepton decays. R-Parity violating couplings can give additional contributions on leptonic meson decays. The trilinear couplings could also induce such spectacular processes as the lepton flavour changing process µ→ eγ.
Broken R-Parity contributions should be constrained by experimental bounds. Hence, bounds on the size of broken R-Parity couplings can be deduced.
Unfortunately, the flavour structure of broken R-Parity couplings are unknown. The couplings introduce many new parameters, so it is desirable to obtain a broken R-Parity theory with a simplified flavour structure. A simplified R-Parity violating model is investigated and the consequences on the neutrino masses are discussed. In addition, experimental bounds on the couplings are derived.
