One study on the production of b-Quark events in ep-collitions at HERA will be presented. In the ZEUS experiment, the Photoproduction regime (Q2<1) and the semi-leptonic decay of the heavy Quark in the electron channel, for the 2000-2004 data, will be selected.
The work is focused in optimize the identification of the resulting electron (positron) from the semi-leptonic decay of the heavy quark, using calorimeter and tracking information. To the aim that with the additional combination of different information from the event eg. the fraction of electromagnetic energy deposited in the calorimeter, the dE/dx value, etc. a better separation of b-Quark events can be obtained.
