For pump-probe experiments two laser pulses of independent light sources have to be synchronized very precisely. To synchronize an optical laser pulse with the 32nm laser pulse of the VUV-FEL at Desy Hamburg we used a method based upon Electrooptical Sampling. Here, the correlation of an optical 100fs Ti:Sapphire laser pulse and the electric field of a 1nC electron bunch of the order of 100 fs pulse duration, is measured in a single-shot geometry mapping time into space. With the jitter measured, the data points of a fs pump-probe experiment will be sorted afterwards according to the jitter data. These additional data will allow pump-probe experiments on a sub-100 fs time scale. First experimental results will be presented.
