Three Equally Charged Fermions in the Whitney Sum Formalism for Quantum Many Particle Systems — •Thorsten Beck, Ruth Gräbeldinger, and Peter Schust — II. Institut für Theoretische Physik, Universität Stuttgart, Pfaffenwaldring 57/III, 70550 Stuttgart

In recent years a formalism that allows description of many particle systems on the level of field theories (not quantum field theories) has been developed by utilising the Whitney sum structure of Yang-Mills theories. A comprehensive account of the general idea is given in [1].

In this contribution we show the sample case of three fermions of equal charge with electromagnetic gauge interaction.

This example elucidates how gauge and exchange potentials and their associated interactions are understood within this approach to many particle theory. It also explains how a particle is defined in terms of the Whitney sum structure.

Furthermore, this work provides the ground for more concrete model systems of many electron atoms that are examined in [2],[3],[4].
