Study of the systematic uncertainties and the impact on the energy spectrum determined by the Pierre Auger-Observatory — •Ioana C. Mariş, Johannes Blümer, Markus Roth, and Talianna Schmidt — Universität und Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe, Germany

Using the data of the Pierre Auger Observatory one is able to calibrate the energy of events triggered by the surface detector with the more accurate and nearly model independent fluorescence measurements (the constant intensity cut method). The method of measuring and calibrating the energy and the systematic uncertainties in the energy spectrum are presented.

Measured air showers of highest energies most likely have a saturated signal in the station closest to the core. A phenomenological approach to recover the fragmentary signal is presented. Other variables, e.g. the trigger efficiency at low energies, or the slope of the lateral distribution function contribute to the uncertainties in the aperture calculation or in the air shower reconstruction. The influence of these uncertainties on the energy spectrum will be reported.
