Are zero-mass neutralinos experimentally allowed? — •U. Langenfeld1, H. Dreiner1, S. Heinemeyer2, O. Kittel1, A. Weber3, and G. Weiglein31Universität Bonn — 2CERN — 3University of Durham

In the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) the mass of the lightest neutralino is constrained from collider searches to roughly 50 GeV, if the GUT relation between the gaugino mass parameters M1 and M2 is assumed. However, we show that the neutralino mass is essentially unrestricted if this relation is dropped. In this context we discuss the impact of light or massless neutralinos on direct production processes, as well as on electroweak precision data and rare decays. We derive an absolute lower bound on the lightest neutralino mass in MSSM scenarios, which are consistent with experimental data.
