Manipulation of a chem. reaction along a certain route, via certain barrier(s), turning into product(s), is the pursuit of alchemy of the mankind for long years. Development of understanding chem. reactions, containing only several atoms originated in ca. 1930 with the exchange reaction betw. a H atom and a H2 molecule by M. Polanyi in Berlin. The gold rush of bio-related researches started in ca. 1990. FT-ICR mass spectrometer has been a wonderful mashine, not only to do biomolecular sequencing, but also reaction kinetics. The resolution can be achieved down to ca.10 pM. Nanodiamond (ND) has been found to be a very efficient substrate for protein in extremely diluted solution lower than 10 nM, and don’t influence the mass spectrometric resolution1. To investigate the interfacial and stereospecific reaction of protein, e.g. lysozyme on the surface of nanosilica or ND, fluorescence method becomes ca.(5-10)x103 times as efficient as the usual UV. The adsorption or equilibrium constants(2,3) have been measured for 5 x 107 and 2 x 108 [M](−1), respectively. Ref. 1. X.-L. Kong, et al. Anal. Chem. 77, 259, (2005). 2. V. W.-K. Wu, et al., Verh.
