General Relativity - Derived from QM and a General Particle Structure — •Albrecht Giese — Taxusweg 15, 22605 Hamburg

Like Special Relativity, also General Relativity is governed by the paradigm of the 20th century, that the modern physical theories should be based on general principles. This way of thought was the base for such theories as Relativity and QM.

In spite of this prevailing mindset it will be shown in this talk, that there is a way of understanding which is related to lower level structural facts in particle physics. The very basic assumption of QM, that forces are represented by exchange particles, is able to explain the reduction of ’c’ in a gravitational field. This, together with the general structure of elementary particles, is sufficient to understand gravity. In this view, gravity is a very weak side effect of the other physical forces. This concept is more easily comprehensible than the one of Einstein. Nevertheless it is mostly compatible with the formalism of Schwarzschild, and so it provides similar results for all those phenomena of GR which are assured by observations and experiments. And, as the concept derives gravity from QM-compatible forces, it is in no conflict with QM.

In addition, it provides explanations for the actual phenomena Dark Matter and Dark Energy without the need for new particles.
