Photon-neutrino connection in blazars: the experimental side — •Elisa Resconi for the IceCube collaboration — Max-Planck-Institut für Kernphysik, Saupfercheckweg 1, 69117 Heidelberg

Among the most promising sources of high-energy neutrinos are Blazars, Microquasars and Gamma-Ray Bursts. These categories of sources have in common that most of their energetic emission appears in distinct and powerful flares. The transience character of such emission could improve the association of neutrinos detected in IceCube with their production sites. The core of this talk is about the combined use of both neutrino arrival direction and arrival time information in order to allow statistically significant statement even for total fluxes below the atmospheric background level. Neutrino production models for blazars in particular are discussed in connection with the photon wavebands which could trace the transient neutrino emission. The most probable periods of neutrino emission are obtained with the use of a global flares classification technique.
