We have developped an application for data extraction and display called PVSS Data Viewer, which can be used for unpacking, display and extraction of data recorded previously by the SCADA software PVSS II into an Oracle database. Both these systems are commercial products and considered standard for LHC operation and many other modern experiments.

The application itself has been written in Java. It has been developped in a first time with the motivation of the extraction of detector slow control (DCS) data in the ATLAS Pixel collaboration, in particular during the 2006 cosmics and system test runs. As the interface follows common standards, extension to other collaborations and domains where the combination PVSS/Oracle is used, is expected. We will present the first version of the viewer, including interactive data element and period selection, graphical display, analysis and extraction into various formats.
