Neutrino astrophysics at high energies: status and prospects — •Christian Spiering — DESY, Platanenallee 6, 15738 Zeuthen
The talk reviews the present status and the prospects of high energy neutrino astrophysics. Most present results come from NT-200 (Lake Baikal) and AMANDA (South Pole); first results from IceCube (South Pole) and Antares (Mediterranean) are expected soon. With cubic kilometer detectors like IceCube and KM3NeT (planned for the Mediterranean), the traditional multiwavelength astronomy will hopefully develop into multimessenger astronomy, including neutrinos (as well as cosmic rays and gravitational waves).
