Effects of fermions in quasi one dimensional mixtures of bosons and fermions with double well confinement are discussed. It is argued that the dynamical regime where macroscopic self trapping occurs in a pure bosonic system is modified by the inclusion of fermions, leading to a change of symmetry of the wave function that evolves non-monotonically as the separation of the wells is increased. We relate our work with current experiments ona40K and a87Rb.
