Photoabsorbtion and Photoionization of Diatomic Molecules — •Irina Dumitriu and Alejandro Saenz — Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Institut für Physik, AG Moderne Optik, Hausvogteiplatz 5-7, D-10117, Berlin, Germany

The photoabsorbtion cross section of HeH+ will be presented together with photoionization cross sections of the alkali dimer cations Li2+, Na2+, and LiNa+. The latter have been calculated using two methods: a time-independent perturbative method and a time-dependent non-perturbative one. The photoabsorbtion of HeH+ which is of interest for astrophysics and for the neutrino-mass experiments is currently drawing special attention because of the newly developed FEL experiment in Hamburg. The alkali dimer cations are presented as the first step to the photoionization of the alkali dimers, but they are also interesting in themselves since no ab intio data were available for their continuum spectra.
