b tagging performance studies for various systematic misalignment scenarios with ATLASSiegfried Bethke, Giorgio Cortiana, Petra Haefner, Roland Härtel, Stefan Kluth, Anna Macchiolo, Richard Nisius, •Sophio Pataraia, Jochen Schieck, and Philipp Weigell — Max-Planck-Institut für Physik, München

Identification of jets which originate from b quarks is important for most of the physics program of ATLAS, i.e. for a precise measurement of the top quark sector and for searches for physics beyond the Standard Model.

We studied the performance of the existing b tagging algorithms of ATLAS in terms of tagging efficiencies and light quark rejection using Monte Carlo simulated top-antitop pair production events.

We investigated the expected b tagging performance for the early data taking period. We performed systematic studies of heavy flavour tagging performance for various Inner Detector misalignment configurations and variations of the b tagging calibration procedure.
