New results on the imaging performance of the Cix 0.2 detector — •Johannes Fink1, Fabian Hügging1, Hans Krüger1, Norbert Wermes1, and Christoph Herrmann21Physikalisches Institut, Universität Bonn — 2Philips Forschungslaboratorien, Aachen

The CIX system is a direct converting hybrid pixel detector, which has been designed for medical X-ray imaging. Its key feature is the simultaneous operation of a photon counter as well as an integrator in every pixel cell. This approach offers a dynamic range of more than five orders of magnitude, in addition to the ability to directly obtain the average photon energy from the measured data. In this paper we will present recent results on the imaging performance of CIX 0.2 with respect to the average photon energy resolution, the homogeneity of the detector response, the leakage current behavior and the temporal stability. The paper will include measurements with CdTe and CZT sensors and will discuss the differences between the two sensor materials.
