Timing observations with future ground based Cherenkov telescopes — •Ian Proudlock1 and Dieter Horns21Imperial College London, London, United Kingdom — 2Universität Hamburg, Hamburg, Deutschland

The next generation of Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes (IATCs) being planned will have collection areas of 1000 - 10 000 square metres in the energy window of 10-50 GeV. This will allow the observation of pulsars in this energy regime with fluence sensitivity orders of magnitude better than eg. spaced based detectors like the Fermi satellite's Large Area Telescope. Based upon the currently available phased resolved spectroscopy of gamma-ray pulsars, we present the sensitivity achievable with next generation IACTs including the discovery potential to detect giant pulses.
