Consider inertial systems S and S' with x- and x'-axis in the same direction as usual. Then it is valid: Some fixed point P of the x-axis is opposite exactly one point P' of the x'-axis. (Though P' is changing it is always exactly one point P'.) The logical consequence: When origins O and O' are opposite, P and exactly one P' are opposite - just because this is always the case.

This contradicts special relativity. Relative to S there is a different point P' opposite P then relative to S' (relativity of simultaneity).
